Alexander McQueen's $26 Million Last Will and Testament Revealed.

The fashion world lost a legend when Alexander McQueen passed away in early 2010. But his awe-inspiring designs and fantastical imagination will forever live on in the clothes he designed and the people he touched. Aside from being incredibly talented, McQueen also had a big heart, and left $26 million in his last will and testament. Specific details were revealed on Tuesday.

The majority of the money was left to his Sarabande charity, with the request that it be used to fund scholarships and grants for Central Saint Martins students. Other recipients of tidy sums included the Terrence Higgins Trust; London Buddhist Center; McQueen's housekeepers and various relatives. Last, but not least, he ensured that his faithful dogs were well taken care of with a $82K trust and a $164K donation to the Blue Cross and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

Charlotte Ronson Launches Beauty Line at Sephora.

Charlotte Ronson's empire just keeps on growing. With successful fashion, shoe and diffusion lines under her belt, she's decided to take on another challenge. This September, Charlotte is launching her first beauty line at Sephora.

The line will include face, hair and body products, as well as accessories like a vintage-inspired makeup bag. For inspiration, Charlotte went straight to her celebrity friends Nicole Richie, Drea de Matteo and her sisters Samantha Ronson and Annabelle Dexter Jones. The group of gals collaborated on the makeup range and "each product is named after their unique style and beauty." Charlotte says:
I’ve always designed for girls who believe that less is more, and I’ve stayed true to my aesthetic with this beauty collection.

Alexa Chung Returns to TV With Two New Shows.

Although Alexa Chung has been a constant presence in the fashion world, she's been out of the TV spotlight for a while since her show, It's on With Alexa Chung, was cancelled. But all that's going to change this fall. In addition to hosting the upcoming PBS series Thrift America, which debuts this fall, Alexa has also signed on to host 24-Hour Catwalk.

The show, created by Lifetime, will pit fashion designers against each other in a competition reality series. Executive vice president of programming Rob Sharenow said:
The thing that is happening now in fashion culture is that every character and subset of skill is being explored, and there is going to be great shows coming out of that.
Looking forward to seeing Alexa's new projects!

Giuliana Rancic to Launch Clothes for $50.

For her latest endeavor, Giuliana Rancic isn't interviewing celebs on the red carpet or hosting an evening TV show. In fact, she's not even going to be in front of the camera at all. Giuliana has taken her love for fashion and designed a clothing line.

She's currently preparing 10 to 12 samples and three handbags for a January launch. Everything will be priced around $50, including a faux-leather jacket. Giuliana says her dream customer is Gwyneth Paltrow because "she has great style that’s not fussy and that’s what we’re going to do."

Good luck, Giuliana. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
Julia Roberts' Lancôme Ad Gets Banned in UK.

Julia Roberts' Lancôme ads have been banned in the UK. Why, you ask? Well, the British are very serious about many things: football, tea and hats to name a few. But there's one thing you might not know that they take very seriously, and that's their advertisements.

In April, the Committee of Advertising Practice and Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice released new guidelines to address misleading claims in beauty and cosmetics ads. Some of the things they covered were the overuse of post-production techniques in imagery to produce results unachievable by the products being advertised, as well as the use of false lashes and extensions to market things like mascara and shampoo.

The UK government also pulled an ad featuring Christy Turlington for Maybelline. Both companies are owned by L'Oreal and the parent company was forced to confess how much had been spent on post-production and exactly what had been done. The committees ruled that Julia's ads "didn’t accurately reflect what the product could achieve" and that the work done on Christy to "lighten the skin, clean up make-up, reduce dark shadows and shading around the eyes, smooth the lips and darken the eyebrows" was unacceptable. Both ladies look gorgeous, but it's clear from real photos of the gals that the ads were heavily altered.

What do you think, was the UK right in pulling the ads or are you ok with heavily retouched photos?

MICHELLE OBAMA COVERS ‘AARP THE MAGAZINE’

First Lady Michelle Obama graces the September/ October cover of AARP The Magazine and talks sharing her husband with the world, dancing and being a role model.

On the difficulties of taking on White House roles:

MICHELLE OBAMA: “For me it’s sharing my husband with the world. You get a little selfish sometimes. But every time I get irritated, or feel a little lonely or tired, I just think this is our duty. These men are doing a phenomenal service, and they’re doing it with dignity and calm.”

On being a role model for African- American girls:
MICHELLE OBAMA: “We did an event for military kids, and there were a lot of African American young girls out there—little black girls who were just proud because they see themselves in somebody who they think is great.”

“You can see it in their eyes. You can see it with the hugs and the way they hold on so tight. It matters. So I do embrace it.”

On doing the Dougie at a Let’s Move! event:
MICHELLE OBAMA: “I’ve got little kids. They’re always trying something. And I happen to be very good at dance-mimicking. [Laughs.] For some reason, if I watch somebody do a move for a while, and it’s not too hard or complicated or requires me to throw my leg over my head and flip, I can sort of figure it out.”

Kat Von D and Jesse James Call Off Engagement, Break Up.

Though they looked very much like a couple made in tattoo parlor heaven, Kat Von D and Jesse James have called time on their relationship. The engagement is off, folks.

Since the very first days of their relationship, Kat and Jesse were dogged by negative media reports, thanks in large part to James' unpopularity in the wake of his divorce from Sandra Bullock. Many pointed out that it might be unwise to wed a man nationally regarded as a serial cheater. However, Kat insisted that she connected with Jesse on another level, as they had known each other for years.

With the release of his book American Outlaw, James gave a host of interviews in which he favorably compared Kat to his famous ex-wife Sandra, most notably when he told Howard Stern that Kat was a "vixen" in bed. Ugh.

But it looks like Ms. Von D has avoided becoming the fourth Mrs. James: She tweeted Monday evening, "I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that."

That's all she wrote! Though these two have been dodging breakup rumors for months, it's still kind of shocking that we'll have to wait to see Kat get wifed up.
