Gerald Imes admitted to Oprah Winfrey on Monday that he was 13 years old when he molested his then 7- or 8-year-old sister, the Associated Press reports.
The Oscar winner’s brother said he decided to appear on the show to apologize to Mo’Nique and “bring back some family unity.”Even though Mo’Nique has talked about the molestation before, she did not want to be part of Monday’s show. However, Oprah said Mo’Nique gave her her blessing.
