Joe Jackson Blames Wife For Michael’s Death

As the Music World approaches the first anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson (June 25) and the criminal justice system builds an involuntary manslaughter case against Jackson’s doctor — Conrad Murray, the pop legend’s father is pointing fingers at the person he deems the real culprit behind Michael’s demise: The singer’s beloved mother, Katherine.

Yep, you heard us correctly. Joe Jackson the man who abused Michael Jackson and his siblings throughout their childhood has blamed his estranged wife Katherine, 80, for their son’s death, insisting she could have done more to prevent the music icon’s addiction to prescription drugs. In an interview with England’s News of the World, a tearful Joe cries that he often begged Katherine to speak to Michael about his personal issues only to be rebuffed. He claims she refused to confront the star and he’s adamant Michael would still be alive now if she had.

“Katherine was weeping uncontrollably and highly upset (when he died). But I didn’t give her a hug because I was mad at her crying. I said: ‘If you had listened to me Michael would be living now!’ I kept thinking about the times I had stood in front of her saying something was wrong. I couldn’t bottle up my feelings,” Joe says bitterly. “Katherine didn’t say a word – I had to get away from her. If she’d done what I asked, Michael would be here today. I am incensed with her. She could have made a difference,” the notorious stage dad spit.

Joe also regrets not helping the “Thriller” hitmaker more.

“I didn’t shed any tears, but maybe I should have. I just felt furious that my son was gone. In Michael’s final months alive I said to her (Katherine) many times that I couldn’t get through to him and that she needed to help her son. I had begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy and gave him the slack she thought he needed,” Joe adds.

“A child will listen to his mother more than his father and Michael was a mommy’s boy. He listened to her. I still haven’t been able to talk about it to her as she doesn’t want to hear what I have to say…He knew I loved him. I regret that I didn’t say goodbye properly.”

No wonder Michael Despised him so much…
