David Beckham Sues Tabloid Over Affair ClaimsDavid Beckham is a family man, and he's not letting anyone tarnish that reputation without a fight. The soccer star's lawyers just filed a lawsuit against In Touch Weekly in response to their cover story this week that claimed he cheated on his wife Victoria Beckham with hookers. The suit was filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to Us magaizne, and accuses the publication of libel, slander and intentionally causing emotional distress. The suit also names 26-year-old Irma Nici, a woman who is quoted in the story. She claimed she had sex with Mr. Beckham 5 times in 2007, and she says he had extramarital relations with another call girl, as well.
David's rep responded to the allegations this week, saying the claims "are completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine was clearly told before publication. Sadly we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it."
David and Victoria have been married for 3 years, and have 3 sons together. They've presented a united front over the matter, and sat together to watch their son's soccer game earlier this week.
