Oprah Winfrey Among Kennedy Center Honors.Talk show mogul Oprah Winfrey will receive this year's Kennedy Center Honors.
The Kennedy Center Honors will be taped at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington on December 5 and broadcast by CBS as a two-hour television special on December 28.
Oprah will join Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, country music's Merle Haggard, choreographer and dancer Bill T. Jones and lyricist-composer Jerry Herman ("Hello, Dolly!") as a receipient.
