Elizabeth Edwards Funeral.Elizabeth Edwards was laid to rest today at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her ex-husband and former Senator John Edwards and their children were present for the ceremony held in honor of the 61-year-old after she lost her fight with breast cancer Tuesday.
Elizabeth's 28-year-old daughter gave a eulogy, saying (via People.com): "We're still a family and Wade and Mom will always be part of our family."
She continued said: "Every smile and every hug she gave us we'll pass on to our own children."
She also read part of the letter Elizabeth left for her three children: "You were my great joy ... wherever I am, wherever you are. I will always have my arms wrapped around you."
More than 100 of Edwars' former staffers scrambled this week to get the funeral arrangements made after Elizabeth's passing.
