Tracy Morgan Recovering After Kidney Transplant.Tracy Morgan is on his way to a full recovery after undergoing a kidney transplant earlier this month. The news comes after his publicist released a statment assuring his fans that Tracy is fine.
"Tracy is doing well and taking some much needed time to recover after the surgery," said the statement. "He is looking forward to going back to work after the holidays."
The break-out 30 Rock star will only miss two episodes of the show because of his transplant. Tracy was diagnosed with diabetes 15 years ago, and has admitted in the past that he didn't always take the disease seriously. Fellow castmember Grizzwald "Grizz" Chapman, who plays one of Tracy's bodyguards on the show, also underwent a kidney transplant in July. He suffers from hypertension.
As for Elvis Costello... in real life we assume he still has two kidneys.
