Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz File for Divorce.After two and a half years of marriage, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are parting ways. The two filed for divorce today in L.A. Superior Court.
"After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce," said the couple in statement.
"We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives."
The two married in May of 2008, and welcomed their first child in November of the same year, Bronx Mowgli Wentz. They had been dating since the fall of 2006.
