Rihanna Has Embraced Her Curves.

Rihanna isn't one for covering up. Her performance wardrobes include spangled bra tops and tiny tasseled miniskirts that quiver with her every move, and she has definitely had a hand in making underwear as outerwear borderline blasé. So it's a surprise to learn that the pop singer hasn't always been confident about her much-beloved body.

In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna explained that she's only recently embraced the curves for which she's so famous. "Over the holidays, and even during filming [of Battleship, her upcoming big screen debut], I realized that I actually like my body, even if it's not perfect according to the book. I just feel sexy."

"For the first time, I don't want to get rid of the curves," Rihanna added. "I just want to tone it up. My body is comfortable, and it's not unhealthy, so I'm going to rock with it."

Rihanna works with trainer Ary Nuñez to keep her curves ready for action, with a regimen that includes a spinning bike machine—a Real Ryder—and handweights. "I hate going to the gym and doing it the old-fashioned way," Rihanna explained. "I get bored really, really quickly."
