John Galliano Dismissed From Namesake Label.

John Galliano, the label, may exist, but it is without its namesake creative director. The fallen designer has been unceremoniously booted from his own company.

Christian Dior SA owns 91% of the company and clearly wants nothing more to do with John Galliano himself. It plans to continue producing collections with an in-house team. Many unsolicited offers to purchase the label have been presented, but Christian Dior has made it quite clear it is not a priority.

The question that stands now is whether people will bother purchasing a tarnished name, especially without the genius behind it. Would you buy John Galliano designs if John Galliano wasn't designing them?
