Kanye West to Present Phoebe Philo With CFDA Award.All Kanye West wants is for the fashion industry to like him. He has tried hard, so hard, over the years with few results. But now it looks like some of his dreams are about to come true.
On Monday, Kanye has the honor of presenting Phoebe Philo of Céline with the International Award at the CFDA awards. It appears his master plan to get close to Philo has worked: In his song "Dark Fantasy" he rapped, "I'm just a Chi- town [bleep] with a Nas flow, and my chick in that new Phoebe Philo," then he wore one of her womenswear designs to Coachella.
Now we have to see whether he lets Phoebe have the spotlight, or if he says, "I'm sorry, but Karl Lagerfeld had one of the best collections of all time."
