Khloe Kardashian Planned Kim's Engagement Party in Just 3 Days! When you're as busy as Kim Kardashian and fam, you have to throw epic events -- like engagement parties and weddings -- at the last minute sometimes. So, we're not surprised that Khloe only had 3 days to throw her sister and fiance Kris Humphries' celebration together last week.
"We obviously move really fast in my family," Khloe told Us Weekly. "We're so crazy busy, and Kris was going back to Minnesota to be with his family. We were trying to find a day where the two fiancees could be there with all of us. On Monday, we realized that Thursday was open, so I was like, 'Am I really going to throw a party on Thursday?'"
The resounding answer was "Yes!" and then she started making some phone calls. She enlisted the help of Sharon Sachs, the woman who put Khloe's 2009 wedding together. "She did my wedding in nine days, so I was like, 'You can put together an engagement party in three days!'" Khloe said. "It was really fun."
The party consisted of 50 friends and family members gathering to celebrate the future Mr. and Mrs. Humphries. And, this was the first time some of the guests had met the NBA star! Luckily everything went really well. "Everybody had the best time and got along," Khloe relayed. "It was so sweet see everyone hang out with each other."
The engagement party is now checked off the list, but there's a whole wedding to plan! Luckily, Kim seems to be on top of things and has even started her registry, and the guys in the wedding party have at least looked at tuxes. We're guessing the wedding bells will be ringing sooner than later for the happy couple!
But, for now, the fam's excited to not broadcast their lives on reality TV for a bit. "We're excited about having downtime," Khloe said about the Kardashian's summer plans. "We're excited to do normal family stuff with no cameras documenting it."
We can't wait to hear what the Kardashian idea of "normal" is!
