Marc Jacobs Considered Suing Justin Bieber.

Marc Jacobs has had his fair share of run-ins with copyright law, thanks to his love of reworking classic styles with a uniquely luxe approach. But now Jacobs has revealed that he recently considered taking legal action against another artist for borrowing heavily from his work. The imitator? Dreamy teen Justin Bieber.

When Bieber launched his fragrance Someday a few weeks ago, critics were quick to point out that the flower-shaped bottle shared some pretty obvious characteristics of the bottle for Marc Jacobs' perfume Lola, which has been on the market for years. Jacobs told WWD that he told Coty, the manufacturer of Lola, not to sue.

"[You] know, I look around the room and I look at the work we've done and a quote I always bastardize but I really believe in, is something Chanel said: "He who insists on his own creativity has no memory."
