Beyonce Swoops In At #1 With Over 313,000 "4" Albums Sold.Beyonce Knowles still topped the charts for her first week album sales, despite controversial reviews either loving her album 4, or completely hating it. She's 4 for 4, beating out projected sales and securing her 4th #1 album.
Hits Daily Double reports Beyonce's full first week (last Tuesday to yesterday) of sales in the U.S. came out to 313,420 units sold.
4 leaked 3 weeks early and the "Girls" singer struggled to nab a Top 10 hit single. Still, with little promotion in the U.S. prior to the album release, it's #1 with a hefty amount of sales.
She also sold about 164,000 albums internationally the first day of its release (a day before it was actually released in the U.S.) and the album was reportedly immediately #1 in 25 countries.
Last year, the Columbia artist moved 482,000 albums the first week with her "I Am...Sasha Fierce" double album.
