Ashton Kutcher Is Now the Highest-Paid Actor on Television.

Ashton Kutcher is pulling down some serious cash as Charlie Sheen's replacement on Two and a Half Men. TV Guide reports that Ashton is going to be pulling down $700,000 per episode while TMZ claims the real figure is probably between $800,000 and $900,000.

That paycheck instantly makes Ashton the highest-paid actor on TV, a distinction previously held by Sheen, who was making $1.25 million per episode on the show. For those who haven't heard, Sheen's Men character will be dead when the show comes back on the air this fall. The word is the first episode will open on a funeral for Charlie Harper, who will have been killed by a subway train in Paris when he slipped off the platform.

Rumor has it that Ashton will be playing a technology billionaire who buys Charlie's beach pad and slips right into his role as a fun-loving womanizer.
