Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell Get Married.

Paul McCartney just made Nancy Shevell his third wife! The Beatles star and 51-year-old New York heiress said "I do" in a small ceremony in London today, on what would have been John Lennon's 71st birthday.

The vows took place at Marylebone Town Hall in central London, the same place where he and first wife, Linda, got married back in 1969. She died of breast cancer in 1998.

McCartney and Shevell only had about 30 guests present to witness their vows, including the only other surviving Beatle Ringo Starr, but that doesn't mean that hundreds of fans and photographers didn't flock to the venue and wait outside for a glimpse of the newlyweds.

Shevell looked stunning in a white dress designed by Paul's daughter, famed fashion designer
Stella McCartney. She wore her long brown hair down, with a beautiful white flower accessory pinned in it. She carried a small, simple bouquet of white and pink roses into the town hall. McCartney sported a blue suit, also designed by his daughter, with a white shirt and a shiny lavender tie.

The new bride and groom are expected to host an elegant reception at the singer's London home later today. The AP reports that champagne and party decorations were delivered to the home prior to today's ceremony. There's even a rumor going around that McCartney will sing a song he wrote for his wife at the event, along with a rendition of "Let it Be."

The couple met in the Hamptons back in 2007 and announced their engagement earlier this year. This is the second time down the aisle for Shevell, who was married to attorney Bruce Blakeman for more than 20 years.
