Confirmed: Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are Engaged.
Talk of Halle Berry walking down the aisle for the third time has been swirling on the interwebs for over a month now. "Sources close to the actress" said her French beau, Olivier Martinez, popped the question in early January, and, for once, those unnamed insiders were right!
Martinez confirmed the big engagement news at the opening of his new restaurant in Miami Saturday night. "Yes, of course it's true!" he told reporters.
But, the initial reports of the proposal weren't 100 percent accurate. Apparently the quotes that confirmed the engagement, and took credit for the emerald sparkler, from U.K. jeweler Gurhan were a bit misleading. "There is a jeweler taking credit for doing the ring and it's a lie!," said Martinez. "They have nothing to do with this."
The "real artist" who designed the unique engagement ring is Robert Mazio, a jeweler from his Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood in Paris, the actor said.
No word on when these two will walk down the aisle. And Martinez failed to address how he convinced Berry to give marriage another shot. She hasn't exactly had great things to say about holy matrimony in the past.
