Revealed: Ralph Lauren London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony Outfits.

Ralph Lauren have just revealed their designs for the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony outfits and I must say our American athletes will be looking mighty fine in their red, white and blue attire. The official unveiling took place just moments ago on national television on NBC's Today Show where Americans were presented, for the first time, with a glimpse of what our Olympians will be showing off as they open the London 2012 Olympics.

“It’s a privilege to play a part in the London Games and to celebrate the achievements of these premier athletes as they represent our nation on the world’s biggest stage,” said David Lauren, Ralph Lauren’s Executive Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Can you just imagine our handsome American men stepping out in their club-collar sport shirt, double breasted blazers and creamy cuffed flat front trousers? We can't help but picture Ryan Lochte in this particular attire. Can't imagine a finer sight, if we're being honest. And let's not forget the ladies who will be dressed to impress in a crisp white blouse, fitted navy blazer and printed signature scarf.

The only element we're not quite sold on is the choice of head wear. The berets are an interesting addition that make us think our athletes could easily be mistaken for the French Olympic team. However, that's just personal preference and I'm happy to admit I may stand alone on that particular thought.

For those of you wishing to get your hands on your own Ralph Lauren Olympic gear for the London 2012 Olympics, The Ralph Lauren 2012 Team USA Olympic Collection for men, women and children is available for purchase on Ralphlauren.com.
