Rumormongering: Is Facebook Launching a 'Want' Button for E-Commerce?

It looks like Facebook is about to undergo another facelift! Since its inception in 2004, our beloved social networking site has gotten too much work done to count—from the beginning of poking to the creation of timeline to everyone and their mother (literally!) harvesting crops on FarmVille.

But here's one update that might actually be worth the work: Mashable is reporting that the site might be in the works of creating a "Want" button so you can share all the exciting goodies you want (get it?) to buy. The button supposedly would be similar to the "Like" button already on the site but would be geared toward a social commerce experience.

According to Mashable, Facebook refused to comment on whether the rumors are true, but we wouldn't be surprised if they were. With the e-comm success of social sites like Pinterest and The Fancy, it seems that Mark Zuckerberg would be silly not to get in on the game.
