Stella McCartney launching optical line.
Following on from a successful 2012, Stella McCartney has announced the launch
of her debut collection of optical eyewear, which will roll out in March across the UK, the US and Europe.
The line features five contemporary styles in key shapes that draw
inspiration from the designer’s signature balance between masculine and
feminine, and the debut collection will be presented in a warm colour
palette of burgundy, taupe, black, teal and tortoise for spring.
The sustainable optical collection also embraces the 'eco-friendly'
philosophy of the brand, using the same bio-acetate used in the
sunglasses range, which are made of 54 percent natural sources.
The collection is an extension of the brand’s already successful range
of sunglasses, which launched in 2003, and will be available in high-end
retailers and opticians worldwide, with prices ranging from 149-157
Pounds.
