Scarlett Johansson and Gabourey Sidibe Star in Diverse Harper's Bazaar Shoot.
In her latest fashion portfolio for Harper's Bazaar,
global fashion director Carine Roitfeld cast a uniquely diverse group
of subjects in order to pay "homage to the diversity of women."
Roitfeld enlisted Karl Lagerfeld to photograph everyone from Scarlett Johansson to Gabourey Sidibe in this shoot for the September issue,
called "Singular Beauties." Some of the women — like Zoe Kravitz and
Lily Collins — are photographed alone in celebration of their individual
beauty. In other shots, like the one that features China Machado and
Soo Joo Park, the subjects were put together to highlight their
similarities.
And then there are the shots that put together equally gorgeous
subjects who couldn't be more different from one another. In one shot,
82-year-old supermodel Carmen Dell'Orefice poses with 16-year-old Ondria
Hardin. In another, plus-size model Candice Huffine poses with Ashleigh
Good's "classic proportions."
But regardless of the combinations, all of these pictures are stunning. Here is a look at a few of the singularly beautiful images in Harper's Bazaar shoot.
