East Afrika stand up! New designs from Kina Klothing
HOUSTON TEXAS/DAR ES SALAAM TANZANIA—September 9, 2009—Kina Klothing is excited to announce the release of more of the finest street threads inspired by the motherland.
Overwhelming love and support from our cousins from Kenya and Uganda has inspired us to create a couple of new designs created exclusively with them in mind.
We have also included several new colors to our popular designs including our popular 1961 Uhuru Tee which was debuted last month by Tanzania’s own Hasheem Thabeet of Memphis Grizzlies.
Backround:
We chose “Kina”, a Kiswahili word meaning “depth” to represent what we want to portray in our designs. With every piece we attempt to stimulate a curiosity on the viewer and at the same time represent the person who’s wearing it.
Kina Klothing is based in Houston, Texas & Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Kollektion:
Uhuru Street combines street insight and “uhuru” (freedom) which is a concept that is central to our creative aspiration.
