The Showcase event has been organized by Umodotz blog with the kind sponsorship of SHEAR ILLUSIONS, TRUWORTHS and GIRAFFE OCEAN VIEW HOTEL.
This event is an opportunity to strengthen business and collaborative ties by ushering in the New Year with clients, customers, models, designers, stakeholders, fans and the general public. On display will be new products and services of the sponsors. The event is open to everyone.
Followers of umodotz.blogspot.com will get a chance to finally see all the 12 beautiful and unique “Uniq Modoz” finally take to stage dressed in fresh khanga cuts by KEMMI KALIKAWE of the acclaimed Naledi Designs. You will be introduced to Mgesi, an upcoming female designer who will certainly steal the lime light with her chic beach styles and casual wear!
Truworths will showcase their exquisite New Year collections while Shear Illusions will supply classy wigs and quality hair extensions to the models including make- up and accessories done by the talented folks at the Paradise Uni-sex Salon (www.paradisespalon.co.tz)!
The highlight of the event will be the awarding of a historic and lucrative contract to one of the 12 Uniq Modoz by Shear illusions. The 12 lucky girls were selected through a rigorous consultative process assisted by Steven Kanumba (Film), Sylvia Shao (Pageantry) and Kemmi Kalikawe who represented designers. Blogger, sponsor and organizer comments and opinions will go towards finally selecting a single girl; who shows unique potential to be an outstanding model, for the contract.
This is not a competition. It symbolizes the way the industry operates. It is expected that other stakeholders will follow the same example.
