Naomi gets away with it, battered victim not pressing charges

A New York chauffeur who accused supermodel Naomi Campbell of kicking and punching him as he transported her around Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday will not press criminal charges against the temperamental catwalk queen.

The Associated Press reports that police consulted with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and issued a harassment report against Campbell, which doesn’t carry any penalty.

Police do not expect to make any arrests in the case.

At approximately 1 PM Tuesday afternoon, the 27-year-old driver flagged down a police officer and alerted the official that Naomi Campbell hit him from behind, causing his head to strike the steering wheel of the black Cadillac Escalade and bruising under his right eye. The fashionista then fled on foot.

The chauffeur, who also drives Campbell’s boyfriend, has not revealed whether or not he will pursue the matter in civil court.
