Designer Marc Jacobs Planning A Plus Size Collection?

Could it be true that finally high end lines will now cater to the real woman with real curves? With the announcement last week that Saks Fifth Avenue in New York would be adding more plus size designer options to it's flagship store, Marc Jacobs may be ready to create a line for women over a size 14.

Marc's business partner Robert Duffy took to Twitter to share the news saying:

"We are in talks now. For plus sizes. For all you who seem to know my co. Better than me. Hope it works out. Lighten up!"

Once word got out to excited fashion folk who didn't quite believe the news Duffy continued with:

"Listen, we are in the very beginning stages of talking to a partner about plus sizes. Relax. It won't be based on the collection line... Marc and I are building a brand. That's what we do. We will Always have a collection line..."

So only time will tell, but it would be a great take charge initiative for the famed brand.
