Tiger Woods' Picture Booted From Cover of His Video Game.

For more than 10 years, Tiger Woods' signature golf video game series, Tiger Woods PGA Tour by Electronic Arts, has featured the popular pro golfer on the game's cover. Maybe EA Sports has grown worried about Tiger's reputation, because in the new edition's cover, there is a large yellow flag in lieu of the golf legend's face.

The company saw sales of the video game take a massive hit last year, so they have strategically placed a small silhouette of Woods in the cover's background.

Woods, who was the center of a very public cheating scandal last year -- and subsequently took a break from golfing -- has since returned to the golf course.

EA Sports president Peter Moore claims removing Woods from the cover was unrelated to his personal scandals.

"If the insinuation is it's a reflection of EA Sports backing away from its relationship that goes back literally 13 years with Tiger, that's not the case whatsoever," Moore said in a press conference. "You shouldn't read anything into the fact that Tiger's not featured on the box art of that particular edition."

Just today, Woods announced he would no longer be writing a column for Golf Digest, and at the end of last month Gillette announced it would not be renewing its contract with Woods.
