She says that living in Los Angeles makes her small-town Kentucky roots more noticeable. "Little redneck things still come out...I'm attracted to my brother. Stuff like that."
The Louisville, Kentucky native has been in the spotlight since her indie flick Winter's Bone received rave reviews and also scored her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. She said she hasn't practiced a winning speech but has been "practicing my losing face."
