Anna Wintour Announces Support for Gay Marriage.The Vogue editor-in-chief has filmed a PSA in support of gay marriage, for Human Rights Coalition's New Yorkers for Marriage Equality campaign.
Anna joins a series of prominent figures who have lent their image to the project including Julianne Moore, Sean Avery, Joan Rivers. In her video spot, Anna says:
I'm Anna Wintour in support of Marriage Equality. As far as I'm concerned, having the right to say 'I do' is as fundamental as the right to vote. The time is now. Please join me in supporting marriage equality for all New Yorkers.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is hoping to pass marriage equality legislation before June 20. Fingers crossed!
