Gwyneth Paltrow Advises Fans to Purchase $18K of Spring Clothes.

When stars talk about bargain shopping or cheap thrills, we feel warm and fuzzy inside and think "Wow, celebrities, they're real people too." But then there are stories like this one, where they seem to be off in another world.

Gwyneth Paltrow loves to give advice on her website, Goop. In one of her recent posts, she teams up with Net-a-Porter to talk about her spring wardrobe essentials. This is all fine and good, until you realize her six outfits total $18,301! Included on her list are a "$785 Stella McCartney jersey tank dress, a $1,840 Chloe silk jacket, and a $90 Kain T-shirt. The least expensive item is a Splendid cotton tank for $44."

To play devil's advocate, in Gwyneth's defense, it would be hard to spend less at Net-a-Porter—but still. Dear Gwynie, please come back down to earth.
