Model Author: Tyra Banks Releases First Novel.Tyra Banks is officially adding author to her long resume. On September 13, her first novel Modelland hits stores.
To promote her latest venture, Tyra took to the streets of Manhattan dressed as her main character, Tookie—who sounds suspiciously like Tyra except for the mis-matched eyes. Tookie is described as having "untamable hair, large forehead and gawky body." She also showed off the book's cover which is done in a vintage style and shows a smizing green eye accented with golden wings.
Tyra's been working on the book for the past five years and it's the first in a trilogy. It's a story about the modeling industry, but with a fantasy twist. Amazon's description of the book says:
