Michael Kors Marries Longtime Partner.

Michael Kors has tied the knot with longtime partner Lance LePere, Women's Wear Daily reports. The celebrated fashion designer and LePere said their "I dos" in a private beach ceremony in Southampton Tuesday. Mayor Mark Epley officiated the intimate ceremony on Dune Beach.

"To marry someone as wonderful and special to me as Lance barefoot on a glorious beach is more than I could have dreamed of," Kors told WWD.

Their nuptials come just two weeks after Governor Andrew Cuomo legalized same-sex marriage in New York. "Lance and I are very excited to finally be able to have the opportunity to marry in our home state after many years together," the fashion maven said at the time.

The fun-loving Project Runway judge met LePere in 1990 when he hired the aspiring designer as an intern for his Paris office. Kors told Harper's Bazaar they'd lunch together at Parisian cafe Joe Allen, where they could eat Americanized meals like quesadillas with cranberry juice.

LePere is now the creative director of women's collection design for Michael Kors. "We are very well-balanced. I am louder, more outrageous, a New Yorker; he's low-key, methodical, and from the West," Kors told Bazaar.
