Though she was set to rake in an comfy $150,000 for an appearance at Melbourne's annual spring carnival, the socialite (via the Herald Sun) backed out at the last minute. A spokesman for Swisse vitamins -- the company that sponsored the event -- explained: "All indications were that Kim wanted to fulfill all of her commitments once she landed in Australia, but [she] obviously changed her mind given her very difficult personal challenges at the moment."
Yes, it would appear the typically stoic Kardashian has begun to feel the impact of her divorce. After being spotted looking incredibly glum at the red carpet premiere of her handbag Kollection yesterday, it became clear that she could in fact express emotion. However, being a consummate professional, we expected her to stick it out abroad.
But don't panic. Just because she cancelled one scheduled performance doesn't mean she's falling apart from the seams. Asked by the hosts of Australia's Sunrise morning show if she would consider counseling, the reality star bluntly responded: "I'm not ready to get into it." She would later add, "I've got Khloe and Lamar here and we're just getting through it."
