Whitney Houston and Ray-J Might Have Starred on a Reality Show Together.

There are a lot of questions being asked in the wake of Whitney Houston's tragic death at the Beverly Hilton Hotel over a week ago, among them the nature of her relationship with R&B singer Ray-J, a man best known for co-starring in Kim Kardashian's infamous sex tape.

In the hours immediately following Houston's death, it was erroneously reported that Ray-J found Houston's lifeless body in a hotel bathtub. It's now emerged that Ray-J, the younger brother of Brandy Norwood, was in San Diego on the evening of Whitney's death—but that he had been with the singer just two days prior at the Tru Hollywood nightclub for a pre-Grammys bash.

According to The Daily Beast, Ray-J was at the center of an altercation Houston had with former X-Factor contestant Stacy Francis that evening, although all Francis would say about the incident was, "Whitney told me she had known Ray since he was 10 years old. She cared about him. I think we should all respect that.” Houston was photographed looking less than sober upon exiting the club later that night, covered in either sweat or water and sporting what could have been wine or blood on her leg.

Though neither Houston and Ray-J officially confirmed their relationship, which seemed to be an on-and-off affair without any claims of exclusivity, they were reportedly preparing to share at least some of it with the public. Ray-J's publicist confirmed to The Daily Beast that Whitney was part of a reality show pitch, explaining, “It was his show, and they shot footage of the two of them together that appeared in the sizzle reel, which was being used to pitch the show.”

It wouldn't have been the first time Whitney agreed to let reality cameras in on her life for the sake of a loved one: She also played a huge role in the hilarious Being Bobby Brown in 2005.

Ray-J has yet to comment on his potential co-star's passing. It's unclear whether his footage with Whitney will ever air.
